What is SectionSync LITE?

SectionSync LITE is an AutoLISP routine for AutoCAD that speeds up creating and updating sections along a baseline.

If you’re doing roadway, site, grading, or utility plans and you’re tired of redrawing sections from scratch every time something shifts, this is meant to give you a repeatable workflow instead of a “start over” button.

What it does

• Generate sections along a baseline using a consistent, repeatable process instead of rebuilding sections by hand for each revision.
• Keep stations and markers coordinated with your baseline, so you’re not chasing labels around the drawing whenever something moves.
• Cut down on repetitive trimming and offsetting when cutting typical civil sections.

The focus of the LITE version is the core workflow: baseline → sections → coordinated annotation.

Where it fits in your workflow

SectionSync LITE is a drafting automation tool. It fits best when:

• You already have an alignment / baseline drawn in AutoCAD and need to cut multiple sections from it.
• Revisions keep coming in and you’re tired of the “tear it down and rebuild the sections” cycle.
• You’d like a more standard way in your office to generate and maintain sections, instead of everyone doing it differently.

Requirements

• AutoCAD on Windows (full version).
• Ability to load AutoLISP/VLX routines (standard AutoCAD functionality).
• Basic comfort with AutoCAD’s support paths / startup routines if you want it to load automatically.

Note: This has not been formally tested on AutoCAD LT yet. Use at your own discretion in those environments.
